ZEBRA CRAB in a Fire URCHIN
Zebrida adamsii
PANTAR island, indonesia
Small crab with a typical brown and white zebra colour pattern. Smooth carapace, whit deeply incised edge. It looks like a robot. Spiny legs and claws, the last segment of the walking legs, hook shaped, hangs the crab onto the urchin spines. Carapace lenght 2 cm.

Shrimps « Periclimenes colemani » in a fire urchin
But not! It doesn’t mean the mother with her small baby but of the male (the small one) with its female (” the big one” which is approximately one centimetre). The very beautiful shrimps Periclimenes Colemani live in symbiosis with the sea fire urchin, very beautiful also but which is really very irritant, I made the experiment of it !
